Two series of seven-segment displays reduce low power consumption
Two series of seven-segment displays from Würth Elektronik, surface mount and through hole versions of single-digit displays, are available in size and LED colour options.
The surface mount WL-S7DS and the through hole variant the WL-T7DS are rugged single-digit displays. They are available in three sizes, each with red or green LEDs (635 or 570nm). Other emitted colours are available on request. Compared to the other number displays, which are available on the market, Würth Elektronik says they have low power consumption of just a few mA and faster switching characteristics.
Seven-segment displays are indispensable when only numbers need to be presented, for example in clocks, timers or counters. They are faster than LCDs and easier to control, says Würth. They have an operating temperature range of -35 to +85 degrees C.
WL-S7DS is available in three sizes, namely 12 x 7.3 x 3.75mm (0.30 inch), 15 x 9.8 x 3.75mm (0.39 inch), and 19 x 12.4 x 3.75mm (0.56 inch). The WL-T7DS THT series is available in a choice of 13 x 10 x 7.0mm (0.39 inch), 17.5 x 12.4 x 7.0mm (0.52 inch) and 19 x 12.6 x 7.9mm (0.56 inch).
The seven-segment displays are now available from stock without a minimum order quantity. Free samples are provided on request.
