Vacuum-tight M connector has extended temperature range
Lemo has expanded its M series with the addition of the HY, vacuum-tight model. It is available in all sizes and low voltage configurations. This fixed socket model has been specifically designed for vacuum-tight integration in harsh environments.
Potting material ensures the vacuum-tight sealing, with low leak rates over a broad temperature range, said the company. The HY also integrates optimised PCB tails to ease PCB routings even on high density configurations. The mass connection now offers the possibility to use either standard ground pins or special anti-vibration threaded holes for screw through PCB fixation.
According to Lemo, this new addition to the M series provides the highest density ratchet coupling connectors on the market where vacuum-tight integrations are required. The low leak rate and wide temperature range make it suitable for use in optical enclosures or high altitude applications.
