Axiomtek’s Pico-ITX SBC is slim with multiple I/O options
Industrial computer manufacturer, Axiomtek has introduced the PICO316, a palm-sized fanless pico-ITX motherboard featuring the low-power consumption Intel Pentium processor N4200 or Celeron processor N3350 (codename: Apollo Lake SoC).
The pico-ITX SBC supports a variety of industrial IoT (IIoT) applications, especially those with graphic-intensive and limited-space requirements including automation control, medical imaging, digital signage and gaming. The PICO316 has dual display capability through 18/24 single/dual channel LVDS and HDMI. It supports one DDR3L-1867 SO-DIMM system memory up to eight Gbyte, one SATA-600 connector and one full-size PCI Express Mini Card slot supporting mSATA.
The PICO316 offers I/O options including two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 in type A, two USB 3.0 in type C, one Gigabit Ethernet (built-in Intel Ethernet controller i211AT), two RS-232 ports and one audio. Other features are a fanless design for longevity, a wide operating temperature range of -20 to +60 degree C and a +5.0V DC power supply input. The compact and slim design of the small form factor SBC allows it to fit into a variety of restricted space environments.
The Intel Apollo Lake-based pico-ITX SBC offers watchdog timer and hardware monitoring for reliable operation. The PICO316 also supports Axiomtek’s intelligent management software, AXView for smart device monitoring and management remotely. The SMBus interface provides an appropriate interface for a smart battery.
Axiomtek’s PICO316 will be available in the end of February 2018.
