Richardson RFPD joins the chorus supporting RadioVerse
A wideband RF transceiver from Analog Devices for 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G basestations and phased array radar applications, is available from distributor, Richardson RFPD.
The ADRV9009 is tunable from 75MHz to 6.0GHz to support all existing cellular standards, adds Richardson RFPD. It provides designers with a single radio platform to accelerate the deployment of 5G, sustain 2G/3G/4G coverage, and simplify phased array radar design.
The availability of a single platform reduces product design times by up to 50 per cent, adds the distributor.
The ADRV9009 delivers 200MHz bandwidth, which is twice that of the previous generation and the level of system integration replaces up to 20 components to reduce SWaP. LO synchronisation simplifies digital beamforming for phased array radar and massive MIMO, adds Richardson RFPD, while fast frequency-hopping reduces system downtime, to improve spectrum efficiency and link security.
An evaluation board for the new device is also available.
The ADRV9009 is part of ADI’s RadioVerse technology and design ecosystem, designed to accelerate advanced radio design and development. It includes integrated radio platforms, software tools, evaluation and prototyping platforms, a range of reference designs, and full radio solutions.
Richardson RFPD, an Arrow Electronics company, specialises in RF, wireless, IoT and power technologies. Its worldwide design centers and technical sales team provide comprehensive support for customers from prototype to production.
