Aluminium electrolytic capacitors are qualified for automotive use
Radial capacitors in the FP series offer high ripple current and large capacitance values. The automotive-qualified capacitors have been released by Panasonic Industry Europe.
The automotive-qualified aluminium electrolytic capacitors have high ripple current which is two to two and a half times higher than existing FC series products, and large capacitance values, up to 60 per cent higher than existing FC series products. FP series radial lead type devices also feature a high endurance of 4000h up to 5000h at 105 degree C.
The FP series capacitors have an operating temperature range of -55 to +105 degre C, a rated voltage of 25 up to 35V DC, a capacitance range of 510 to 2000 micro F, and a capacitance tolerance of ±20 per cent (120Hz/+20 degree C). FP series devices are RoHS-compliant and AECQ-200-compliant.
The FP series is the first new product in the THT portfolio for six years, and reflects the key growth area in Europe, says Mustafa Khan, product marketing manager Capacitors at Panasonic.
