M12 range now includes connectors for PCBs and panels
TE Connectivity’s M12 connector portfolio now includes connectors with eight and 12 pin positions for direct mounting onto PCBs and panels. The new connectors complement field-installable connectors and cable assemblies, says the company.
The connectors are UL-certified and have an IP67 rating (indicating that they are dust-tight and water-proof down to a depth of at least one meter), for reliable signal transmission. The high pin density, on the 12-pin connector in particular, provides customers with a very compact design.
The plug-in PCB connectors are easy to install, claims the company, and can help to increase production efficiency while decreasing installation cost in digital factories. Installers can specify the connectors in industrial automation, machinery, industrial ethernet, sensors, and other areas where IP67 protection is needed.
