Finepower offers MaxPower’s rectifiers for highest current densities

Rectifiers with high current densities and low forward voltage have been developed by MaxPower Semiconductor and are available from Finepower.

The Double Shielded Trench MOS (DSTMOS) rectifiers are particularly suitable for use in high frequency switching power supplies such as DC/DC converters, adapters, polarity protection circuits or lighting, says Finepower.

The MOS-based rectifiers are available with breakdown voltages from 20 to 200V. The first option available has maximum repetitive reverse voltage (RRM) of 45V, which has a low forward drop voltage of 0.36V at 15A. Below its breakdown voltage, the leakage current of these rectifiers is less than 10mA, reports the company. The DSTMOS rectifiers are stable over the 25 to 175 degrees C operating temperature.

Package options for the DSTMOS family include surface mount TO-277A and TO-220AB.

MaxPower Semiconductor is based in San Jose, California. It develops and supplies a wide range of discrete power semiconductors.
