Fujipoly offers Sarcon thin film in eight formulations

Thin film, thermal interface films from Fujipoly in the Sarcon Thin Film range are available in eight formulations. They manage heat dissipation while exhibiting characteristics such as electrical insulation and UL94 VO flammability, says the company.

The Sarcon series of thin films range in thickness from 0.15 to 0.85mm. Depending on the material selected and application thickness, these products will provide a thermal conductivity between 0.9 and 3.0 W/m°K with a thermal resistance between 0.17 and 1.35 °Cin2/W.

The Sarcon Thin films are packaged in rolls and pre-cut sheets and can be die-cut or trimmed to virtually any size or proprietary shape “for a perfect component fit”. Once installed, the uniquely formulated silicone rubber material efficiently transfers heat from a heat-generating electronic component to a nearby heatsink to manage the thermal performance of a range of products.

Fujipoly America is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fuji Polymer Industries of Japan. It is an ISO9001:2015 registered company, specialising in the fabrication of silicone rubber technology. It describes itself as a leader in the areas of Zebra elastomeric connectors, Sarcon thermal interface materials, fusible tapes and custom silicone rubber extrusions.

Fuji Polymer Industries has eight divisions worldwide, located in North America, Europe and Asia and an international network of distributors and representatives. The company’s North American operations are based in Carteret, New Jersey.
