Intel claims latest H-series are fastest mobile processors
Exceeding 5GHz speeds for laptops, the 10th generation Intel Core H-series are the world’s fastest mobile processor, says the company. It delivers desktop quality performance to gaming devices, says Intel.
More than 100 laptop designs will be launched this year, based on the 10th Gen Intel Core H-series mobile platform. It is claimed to deliver the fastest frequency in the industry (5.3GHz) across the majority of the volume for game play and creation.
The introduction reflects the move by gamers to mobile systems. Gamers rank processor speed as one of the top three important features in a systems. The 10th Gen Intel Core laptop processors have performance typically only available from desktops. Games and applications depend on high-frequency cores and Intel says it is pushing the frequency envelope to achieve lower latency and deliver the best PC gaming experience on a laptop.
The 10th Gen Intel Core i9-10980HK is the version that features up to 5.3GHz Turbo, eight cores, 16 threads and 16Mbyte of Intel Smart Cache, for responsiveness and consistent in-game performance, says Intel.
Compared with a three year old system, the i9-10980HK delivers up to 54 per cent more frames per second in gaming and up to 44 per cent better overall performance. It has also been shown to deliver up to two times faster 4K video rendering and export making it faster and easier to create and share
Intel also reports that compared with a three year old system, the 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10750H delivers up to 44 per cent more frames per second in gaming, up to 33 per cent better overall performance and up to 70 per cent faster 4K video exporting.
The 10th Gen launch also introduces the new Intel Core i7-10875H, featuring up to 5.1GHz Turbo, eight cores and 16 threads for gamers that also enjoy creation and other demanding multi-taskers.
