Halogen-free cable is flexible and resistant to oil

Suitable for harsh, exterior conditions, the SAB RailLine 560 is the latest flexible rail cable from SAB Bröckskes. It combines characteristics for applications that comply to EN 45545.

The halogen-free cable is claimed to have the highest flame protection and non-toxic characteristics and is able to withstand most weather conditions and also provide resistance to oil and fuel. It is also resistant against mechanical stress, making it suitable for use in cable chains found in construction machinery and for door control systems in public transport.

It can also be used as a jumper cable or as sensor cable at the wheel set in rail applications. SAB Bröckskes offers the cable as a control cable with a nominal voltage of 300/500V. It is available as a screened version, as a paired data cable or designed for a nominal voltage of 0.6/1kV.

The SAB RailLine 560 is also certified to European fire protection standards i.e. R15 (EL1A) and R16 (EL1B) and has been tested by independent authorities.

The cables are tested according to the highest hazard level, i.e.e HL 1 to 3,  for indoor and outdoor application according to EN 45545.
