Neoway wireless modules are available from EBV Elektronik

Distributor EBV Elektronik has signed a distribution agreement with industrial IoT (IIoT) technology supplier, Neoway.

The cellular and low power wireless access network (LPWAN) modules manufactured by Neoway have already been used in an array of IoT deployments in Asia and the Middle East, supporting smart grid, utility metering, industrial monitoring, digital healthcare, surveillance systems, point of sales (PoS) units and fleet management systems.

Included in the distribution agreement are the N27 NB-IoT/eMTC module, the N58 and N75 modules. The N27 is an LPWA cellular network module that supports data rates of up to 1119kbits per second on the downlink and 588kbits per second on the uplink. It gas in-built GNSS capability, making it suitable for use in location-based services such as tracking, as well as all applications requiring futureproofed, low power connectivity with support for existing networks.

The N58 and N75 modules are LTE Cat 1 and Cat 4 units, optimised for machine-to-machine (M2M) communication and IoT applications, where high throughput is required, and low power operation is not the primary concern. Both are compact modules and designed to be incorporated into smart energy gateways, industrial routers and telematic systems.

There is also the N510M 5G/4G/3G multi-mode module. This is targeted for use in futureproof applications that require elevated levels of data throughput, such as video surveillance equipment, tele-medicine implementations and remote Wi-Fi access points.

According to EBV, Neoway’s cellular and LPWAN connectivity solutions and EBV’s strong market presence will be of great value to engineers and procurement professionals throughout the EMEA region.

Headquartered in Guangdong, China, Neoway Technology is dedicated to providing the communications products and related services needed by IIoT applications.

EBV Elektronik, an Avnet company, was founded in 1969 and says it is the leading specialist in European semiconductor distribution. EBV maintains 240 Technical Sales Specialists and 120 continuously trained Application Specialists to offer extensive application know-how and design expertise.

EBV’s EBVchips Program, helps the distributor, with its customers, define and develop new semiconductor products. Targeted customers in selected growth markets will be supported by the Vertical Sales Segments.
