Anglia signs Taoglas for IoT partnership

Distributor, Anglia Components has announced a new partnership with Taoglas, provider of external and embedded antennae for the IoT.

The partnership broadens Anglia’s range of existing IoT components including RF, antennae, cables and connectors. Taoglas specialises in RF antenna design and claims to have one of the most comprehensive portfolios of external and embedded antennas covering cellular, GPS/GNSS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, UWB, NFC / RFID, LPWA, ISM band and satcom applications. This offering is complemented with a range of filters, cables and connectors which can be customised to customer requirements.

David Pearson, technical director at Anglia, said the expanded range of antenna components meet real design challenges. “Anglia has invested in an inventory profile covering the most popular standard antenna and cable assembly products,” he said. A configuration tool, Antenna and Cable Builder, by Taoglas allows custom cable assemblies and antennae to be created to meet exact application requirements. “These bespoke products can typically be shipped in as little as 48 hours depending on the quantity and complexity. In addition, Anglia’s engineering teams have been fully trained on the Taoglas portfolio and are available to assist customers with their IoT design needs,” added Pearson.

Taylor Kimmerle, vice president of global distribution sales for Taoglas, added: “Our extensive portfolio and customisation options also allow Anglia’s customers to order highly customised antenna and cable assembly via our Antenna and Cable Builder . . . . to configure the cable and connectors exactly as needed, as well as providing best-in-class technical drawings and documentation.”

Taoglas describes itself as a leading enabler of digital transformation using IoT from initial strategy definition to design, build, deploy and manage services. Solutions combine high performance antenna and RF design with advanced positioning, imaging, audio and artificial intelligence technologies for organisations solving critical problems using IoT. It says its nimble and efficient approach makes Taoglas a trusted advisor, helping customers regardless of where they are on their IoT journey. Design, consultancy and engineering expertise, along with support and test centres globally, allow Taoglas to deliver complex IoT solutions to market quickly and cost-effectively. Taoglas operates across the transportation, connected healthcare, smart cities and smart building industries.
