W+P adds friction element to wire to board connector

Wire to board connections establish a power and signal supply between a cable and circuit board. They are mechanically stable and suitable for industrial electronics, power and lighting.

W+P`s W-t-B series 548 expands the range as a new friction lock element with a small basic grid of 2.0mm. It includes female housings (double row) and crimp contacts as well as pin headers in straight and angled design.

For additional safety, the series 548 offers a housing interlock. This mechanically coded housing design prevents elements becoming loose and also serves as reverse polarity protection.

The square pins have a copper alloy and tin. The crimp contacts are designed for an AWG range from 28 to 22, the current rating is 3.0A. This series is supplied with four to 40 poles.

The insulators are made of thermoplastic according to UL94 V-0 and have a temperature range from -25 to +85 degrees C. Series 548 pin headers and sockets are available in bulk packages; the crimp contacts are supplied as tape and reel.
