Vishay Intertechnology elevates temperature range in IHLPL inductor
Supplied in a 19 x 19 x 7.0mm 7575 case, the Vishay Dale IHLP 7575GZ-51 low profile, high current inductor is claimed to be the first composite inductor in this case size.
Temperature operation is up to +155 degrees C, suitable for computer, telecomms, and industrial applications. Inductance is 0.56 to 33 microH, and typical DC resistance (DCR) is 1.02 to 25.2 mOhm (1.09 to 27.0 mOhm max). According to Vishay, the IHLP 7575GZ-51 offers up to 30 per cent lower DCR and up to 35 per cent higher current ratings than devices in the 6767 case size, at a 50 per cent lower cost than devices in the 8787 case.
The inductor is optimised for energy storage in DC/DC converters up to 2.0MHz and high current filtering applications up to 4.0 to 50MHz self resonant frequency (SRF) of the inductor. They can be used in notebooks, desktops, and servers, low profile, high current power supplies, PoL converters, battery-powered devices and distributed power systems and FPGAs.
The inductor is packaged in a 100 per cent lead (Pb)-free shielded, composite construction that reduces buzz noise and offers high resistance to thermal shock, moisture, and mechanical shock. It also handles high transient current spikes without saturation. The device is RoHS-compliant and halogen-free, and Vishay Green.
