Mouser Electronics signs global agreement with Fingerprint Cards
Biometric company, Fingerprint Cards, has signed a global distribution agreement with Mouser Electronics. Through the agreement, Mouser will offer customers Fingerprints’ BM-Lite module and development kit to help design biometric access devices.
The Fingerprints BM-Lite module contains the hardware, software, and algorithm necessary for biometric development. The IPX7-rated BM-Lite module offers a comprehensive embedded solution for both increased security and enhanced ease of use, said Mouser. The 15 x 15 x 2.8mm module uses simple serial commands to enrol and verify. The embedded standalone fingerprint verification system offers low power consumption, making it suitable for use in battery-powered applications.
The BM-Lite development kit has all the hardware necessary to develop security and access control solutions, including locks, safes, USB tokens, and PoS terminals. The BM-Lite development kit includes a BM-Lite module and adapter flex cable, FPC5832 and FPC5924 adapter board.
