Fast-acting thin film chip fuse is qualified to AEC-Q200 for stable EVs/HEVs
Stability for electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid EVs (HEVs) is enhanced with the MFU 0603 AT fast acting thin film chip fuse, says Vishay Intertechnology. The Vishay Beyschlag chip fuse is qualified to AEC-Q200 and rated from 0.5 to 5.0A.
It will be used in EVs and HEVs to provide protection for voltage sensing circuits in battery management systems and also circuit protection for small loads.
The MFU 0603 AT’s robust is constructed with a homogeneous metal alloy film deposited on a high grade ceramic substrate, with fuse elements covered by a protective coating designed for electrical, mechanical, and climatic protection. The chip fuse offers advanced sulphur resistance in accordance with ASTM B 809, and it withstands 85 degrees C / 85 per cent RH for 1,000h biased humidity testing and testing for thermal shock.
The fuse is offered in the 0603 case size and has a rated voltage of up to 63V, breakdown capacity of 50A, and operating temperature range of -55 to +125 degrees C. It is also RoHS-compliant, halogen-free and suitable for processing on automatic SMD assembly systems and automatic soldering using wave, reflow, or vapour phase.
Samples and production quantities of the MFU 0603-FF AT are available now, with lead times of 10 to 14 weeks.
