80W DC/DC converter meets transport and hi-rel applications

Components Bureau has added the STMGFS80 isolated DC/DC converters to its linecard. The module is available in an industrial mount packaging making it suitable for transportation applications. The STMGFS80 is also suited to energy, industrial and communications, advised Components Bureau.

It includes terminal blocks, output voltage potentiometer, input filter and extra capacitors and is supplied for immediate use. The STMGFS80 series of DC/DC converters complies with safety standards UL62368-1 and C-UL EN62368-1.

Two versions are available to cover industrial voltages from 9.0 to 76V.

The STMGFS8024 operates from 9.0 to 36V DC, targeting 12 and 24V systems, while the STMGFS8048 works from 18 to 76V DC, covering industrial 24 and 48V systems. Four output voltages are available, 3.3V/18A, 5V/16A, 12V/6.7A and 15V/5.4A. Output voltage can be adjusted by a potentiometer included on the motherboard.

The STMGFS80 has a typical efficiency of up to 92 per cent and optimised for convection cooling, the power supplies can be operated within an ambient temperature range of -20 to +70 degrees C.

The power module can be assembled directly to a customer’s equipment chassis by fixing the base plate using the two mounting holes. It can also be clipped to a DIN rail chassis by ordering the option (N2). Additional options including a  plastic cover (N1) or combined DIN and cover (N3) will be available early Q2-2022.

The DC/DC converter is provided with a five-year warranty and conforms to the European RoHS, REACH and Low Voltage Directives.

Cosel’s STMGFS80A isolated DC/DC converters join the STMGFS15 and STMGFS30 DC/DC converters which are also available from Components Bureau.

Established in 1985, Components Bureau was acquired by Display Technology, the UK subsidiary of Fortec Elektronik in 2018.

Components Bureau is a dedicated specialist of power related components and converters, offering AC/DC power supplies and DC/DC converters from leading brands.  An extensive stock holding is available from the central Frankfurt hub and the UK headquarters.
