Fanless 600W modular AC/DC power supply is quiet for medical use
Conduction cooled, configurable power supplies from Vox Power include the VCCM600 series. The power supplies combine the advantages of a modular power supply with the high reliability of a fanless architecture.
Each delivers a silent 600W, and up to 750W of peak power for five seconds, in a rugged 4.0 x 7.0 x 1.61-inch package. The VCCM600 is suitable for use in demanding medical and industrial applications where reliability or audible noise are of concern, says Vox Power.
The VCCM600 series can be configured as a conduction, convection or forced air cooled solution depending on the application. It can be used in environmentally controlled environments to harsh industrial conditions. Each configured power supply can accommodate up to four isolated DC output modules with outputs from 1.5 to 58V DC at 150W per channel. Each module uses 100 per cent surface mount technology components for reliable operation. There is also a 5V/1A bias supply and a five-year warranty.
Standard features include full output voltage adjust range, externally controllable voltage, and current and series and paralleling of outputs. The company’s design approach and heat dissipation techniques allow the unit to be mounted in virtually any orientation for considerable design flexibility.
The series is approved to latest medical and industrial safety standards and Vox Power also offers design-in application support.
