Compact power supplies are rated from 10 to 240W
Two series of compact external power supplies have been released by SL Power. The TE is approved to industrial and ITE (information technology equipment) standards and the ME is approved to medical standards.
There are nine ranges with standard output voltages from 5.0 to 48V DC, depending on the model. Custom voltages are available to order. Target applications include computers and tablets, set-top boxes, gaming consoles, modems, robotics, automation, medical instrumentation and test and measurement products.
Key specifications include a desktop style package rated to IP22, a universal input voltage range, a three-year warranty and an electrolytic capacitor life of seven years or more. The TE and ME power supplies meet EN55011/CISPR11, FCC Part 15.109 Class B Conducted and Radiated Emissions with 6db Margin and are approved to EN / IEC / UL60601-1 3rd Edition with isolation levels which satisfy the 2 x MOPP requirements and meets DoE Efficiency Level VI Requirements (no load input power, average efficiency).
Gary Baker, UK country manager for SL Power, said that the TE and ME series provide an off the shelf solution for the majority of customers and as they are an in-house design, SL Power can meet requests to modify output voltages, connector types, cable length or full customisation to meet specific needs.
The SL Power Electronics product range extends from 10 to 3,000W internal power supplies as well as a broad range of Level VI Tier 2 6.0 to 240W external power supplies. Customers have access to electromechanical components and more than 60 years’ of experience in designing and manufacturing high-performance power products.
SL Power’s local technical support capabilities provide real-time help in solving potential design problems. The company can support customers product needs as they migrate from development to production, frequently in multiple locations around the world.
