Mouser adds Megladon Manufacturing’s optical networking connectors
Following a global distribution agreement, Mouser Electronics is to distribute the optical interconnectivity range by Megladon Manufacturing. Megladon’s patented Hardened Lens Contact (HLC) suite of connectors and patch panels are durable and robust for optical networking connections, said the company.
Mouser offers a selection of Megladon optical networking product lines, including MPO/MTP single-mode and multi-mode fibre patch cables for standard and elite configurations in both 12- and 24-fibre options. They are based on Megladon’s patented HLC manufacturing process for improved durability and scratch resistance, and are suitable for backbone installations, horizontal cabling, cross connects and data centres.
Megladon’s single-mode fibre adapter panels are available in both rack- and wall-mount configurations. They manage and organise fibre for LGX, Corning and Panduit form factors, and facilitate network scalability with versatile and secure panel enclosures, said Mouser.
There are also HLC ScrachGuard reference-grade cables with end-face durability and optical performance for testing fibre optic network connections. From precision drilled ferrules to controlled core glass, each cable features Megladon’s patented HLC termination process to ensure better test data and extended use for manufacturing lines, fibre loss test sites, optical return loss meters or lab instrumentation.
Megladon’s HLC launch cables are suitable for optical time domain reflectometer (OTDR) testing and other long-haul testing applications like broadband or premise network certification. Megladon’s HLC laser-terminated cables are available in all major glass core sizes and lengths.
