130W AC/DCs keep costs low for high levels of safety applications
Intended for cost-sensitive but high performance applications which require high levels of safety certification, the RACM130E-K series of 130W AC/DC power supplies are available from Recom.
They are offered in an industry standard 2.0 x 4.0 inch footprint. The power supplies have a wide operating range of 85 to 264V AC with tightly regulated single outputs including 12C, 15V, 24V, 36V and 48VDC. They provide 130W of output power peak – continuous with airflow.
Efficiency is high, around 90 per cent, which is maintained down to light loads for ErP compliance. No-load losses are also low at less than 200mW at 230V AC. Safety certifications include 2MOPP / 250V AC medical for B or BF applications to IEC / EN / ANSI / AAMI ES 60601-1, IEC / EN 62368-1, IEC / EN 60335-1 and IEC / EN 61558-1 for industrial, test and measurement, IT and household use. The power supplies are qualified to operate at up to 4000m altitude. On-board dual input fusing is included.
EN 55032/35 Class B EMC emissions limits are met “with a good margin” said Recom and the RACM130E-K series power supplies are suitable for installation in surge Class 3 and overvoltage category OVC III environments. Operating temperature range is -40 to +90 degrees C with derating.
The RACM130E-K series is available as an open card 2.0 x 4.0 inch form factor and with an optional metallic enclosure.
