Compact connector can be quickly assembled for high speed data transmission

High speed data transmission with any cable length can be achieved using the X-coded M12 cable connectors in Provertha’s EasyLine series. The connectors are quick and easy to assemble, said the company and allow freely selectable cable lengths

The X-coded M12 connector is claimed to be one of the most compact on the market. The small number of individual parts ensures that the eight-pin plug-in connections can be assembled quickly and easily within very short assembly times. As the cable connectors allow individual cabling in the field, users can respond flexibly to given installation situations, especially in applications where the cable length is difficult or impossible to determine in advance. This saves them expensive special solutions and long delivery times, Provertha pointed out. All EasyLine cable connectors guarantee high transmission performance (10Gbit per second with up to 500MHz) according to the TIA-568 and ISO/IEC-11801-Cat-6A specifications

The EasyLine cable connectors allow easy connection of four differential wire pairs using secure crimp contacts. New contact holders with white printing make cutting, assigning and snapping in the wire pairs easy. The mounting orientation of the contact holder to the insulating body is marked by an arrow printed on it.

Users can assemble individual and compact cabling solutions when space is limited or when a very special cable length outside the standard is required. Alternatively, they would have to use over-moulded cables in the length they require, which often leads to expensive special solutions with long delivery times.

EasyLine M12 connectors are suitable for high-speed networks in industrial automation, as well as for switches and vision control systems that require data rates of up to 10Gbit per second. They are suitable to meet the high shock, vibration and flammability requirements in demanding applications, such as railway technology. The locking screw features an integrated anti-vibration device that withstands the challenges of harsh industrial and railway operations.

A straight EasyLine version is available in a 180 degree pin design with a cable crimp flange. This is suitable for M12 patch cables in applications where custimised lengths are required in tight cable feedthroughs.

A version for rear wall mounting is available on request to implement transfer interfaces on a control cabinet wall or a robotics interface.

Provertha also announced that versions with its mini cable gland are expected to be available in the first quarter of 2023.
