Omni Pro Electronics offers Io Audio Technologies’ 1/4in phone jack series
Distributor, Omni Pro Electronics offers full- or half-threaded options of the Tiny Jack (TJ) series of horizontal PCB 0.25-inch phone jacks manufactured by Io Audio.
The series is offered with a choice of full or half-threaded nose options to accommodate a wide range of panel thicknesses. The TJ Series has a slim design with a high packing density and in a black, plastic housing for audio and control.
The Io Audio TJ phone jack series provides a switched contact design making them appropriate for applications where the termination method is to a PCB and where the independent control of switched contacts is required.
The compact form factor means the connectors are suitable for applications where space is limited. Both full and half-threaded versions fit an 11.4mm chassis cut-out. The full-threaded version is available with silver-plated pins in four-pin mono-switched (IO-TJ4HF) and six-pin stereo-switched (IO-TJ6HF) options and half threaded in IO-TJ4HH and IO-TJ6HH.
The connectors have three normally closed switched contacts and has an operating temperature range of -25 to +70 degrees C.
Insertion force is five to 30N and the connectors have a lifetime above 5,000 mating cycles.
Contact resistance is less than 30 mOhm and insulation resistance is less than or equal to 100 MOhm. Dielectric strength is 500V AC at 60s.
The connectors are suitable for installations, communications, professional audio-visual (AV) and medical equipment.
