Linx Technologies designs whip-style antenna affords 90 degree positioning

Hinged whip-style 450MHz antennas have been developed and manufactured by Linx Technologies, now part of TE Connectivity. The ANT-450-HSW is a mono-pole whip-style antenna for cellular and cellular IoT applications in the 410 and 450MHz bands, including LTE bands 31, 72, 73, 87 and 88.

It is suitable for metering, utility, industrial and IoT devices.

The ANT-450-HSW’s hinged design allows the antenna to be positioned for optimum performance, with detents for straight, 45 or 90 degree positioning. The exterior provides additional UV protection in harsh weather environments. The antenna connects via an N plug (male pin) or TNC plug (male pin) connector.

The 450MHz spectrum provides long range performance and robust connectivity for IoT devices, such as smart metering applications, said Rick Stuby, senior manager product management at Linx.

The new antennas are available now via Linx Technologies’ distributor and manufacturer representative networks.

Linx Technologies manufactures wireless components including antennas, RF connectors and cables, RF modules, and remote controls.

TE Connectivity is a global industrial technology leader creating a safer, sustainable, productive and connected future. Its range of connectivity and sensor solutions, are proven in the harshest environments and enable advancements in transportation, industrial applications, medical technology, energy, data communications and the home.
