Hybrid capacitor from Panasonic Industry is AEC-Q200-compliant
Added to the existing ZT and ZC electrolytic polymer hybrid capacitors, Panasonic Industry has introduced the AEC-Q200-compliant ZTU. According to the company, it sets new standards for endurance, ripple current and temperature tolerance.
The capacitors are reliable and rugged for demanding applications, continued Panasonic.
The company said the ZTU polymer hybrid capacitors’ ripple current and capacitance specifications are setting new standards and guarantee circuit safety at one of the highest temperature ranges currently available on the market.
The capacitors are available with a rated voltage 25 to 35V DC / 220 560 microF and a “significant increase” of 80 per cent in ripple current capability in comparison to the ZC series. The ZTU series has been proven for 4,000 hours at 125 and 135 degrees C, making the capacitors suitable for applications where high temperature tolerance and high current capability are required. The capacitors are therefore suitable for use in DC/DC or AC/DC inverters, robotics, rectifier circuits and particularly in automotive applications which can experience severe conditions.
Panasonic Industry also offers a vibration-proof version of the ZTU capacitors in both 8.0mm and 10mm diameter versions. They are able to handle shocks of up to 30G; standard parts have a vibration tolerance of 10G.
