Farnell positions Analog Devices’ three-axis digital accelerometer in its linecard
Designed for high-performance acceleration measurement in a range of up to ±200g, Analog Devices’ ADXL314 is now available from Farnell. The three-axis digital accelerometer has 13-bit resolution and delivers data through a range of interfaces, including SPI and I2C digital interfaces.
Its memory management system includes a 32-level FIFO buffer to store data and reduce the workload on the host processor. This results in lower power consumption for the system and allows for motion-based power management with threshold sensing and active acceleration measurement at low power levels.
The ADXL314 is suitable for a range of applications, including tyre and battery pack monitoring and high-force event detection. It has low power consumption, typically 65 microA for VS = 2.5V at a 100Hz output data rate for use in industrial and automotive applications.
The ADXL314 is supplied in a small, thin 5.0 x 5.0 x 1.45mm, 32-lead LFCSP and can be easily integrated into existing systems.
