Photo microsensor is 3.0mm compact version
Omron Electronic Components Europe has extended its surface mount photo IC portfolio, introducing the EE-SX4330. This is a compact 3.0mm slot photo microsensor which is claimed to ensure stable PCB mounting.
The photo microsensor with an optimised 3mm terminal design is available in tape reel or tape-out packaging. It provides compact transmissive sensing with a photo IC digital output. It offers detection for both position and rotation, and at 3.0mm enables miniaturisation for a wide range of functions and applications, explained Omron. The side pad’s flat terminal design results in a compact size of 5.0 x 6.0 x 4.0mm and is also claimed to ensure surface-mount stability to optimise reflow soldering,
The surface mount photo micro sensor is suitable for a range of applications from chip mounting equipment, factory automation and cutting machines, to analysers and plotters.
In the field of photosensors for biochemical analysers, the photo microsensor provides encoder detection to control disk rotation and arm operation inside the analyser.
The new photo microsensors are available now through Omron’s network of distributors across Europe.
