Digital signage board is cost sensitive and power efficient, says Aaeon
The PICO-EHL1 illustrates effective use of board space and power efficiency in a low cost, high performance digital signage board, said Aaeon.
The compact board is in the PICO-ITX form factor and features Intel Atom x6000E series and Intel Pentium and Celeron N and J series processors. The lightweight, power-efficient board is suitable for low-cost applications that require flexible function, such as digital signage, smart lockers and ATMs.
The PICO-EHL1’s display has dual-channel LVDS and eDP via colay and audio functionality with line-in, line-out and microphone connectors. Supporting both Windows and Linux operating systems, the board has discrete TPM 2.0 compatibility for data security, making it suitable for deployment in ATMs.
Internal pin-headers, along with a board to board I/O connector grant access to additional PCIe, general purpose I/O and serial port functions to offer users a selection of interfaces while avoiding unnecessary physical ports taking up board space.
It is also equipped with GbE LAN, HDMI 1.4b, and dual USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports for external I/O from which to integrate peripheral devices.
The PICO-EHL1’s expansion options include an M.2 2242 B-Key and full size mPCIe/mSATA slot for storage modules. It also supports 32Gbyte of DDR4 system memory via a SODIMM slot, rather than the earlier generation which has system memory onboard. This provides greater flexibility to users, allowing them to install memory modules to suit their application’s needs and budget.
The PICO-EHL1 has a small form factor of 100 x 72mm (3.94 x 2.84 inches). It is available to order now.
