IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm supports latest TRAVEO MCU from Infineon
Users of IAR’s Embedded Workbench for Arm can take advantage of maximised performance, code quality and functional safety working with Infineon’s recently introduced TRAVEO T2G Body microcontroller family.
IAR announced support for the latest CYT6BJ series from Infineon’s MCU family. The development toolchain has an optimising compiler and build tools as well as powerful debugging features with the code analysis tools C-STAT and C-RUN. Developers can work on complex automotive body electronics applications to leverage the capabilities of the MCUs, and create innovative designs with high code quality, explained IAR. The Embedded Workbench for Arm supports AutoSAR and is available as a functional safety edition for accelerated certification.
The 32-bit TRAVEO T2G Arm Cortex is particularly suitable for automotive body electronics applications, said IAR. The microcontroller family offers high performance, supports the latest in-car networks and embeds dedicated features to increase data security in the car while it is optimised for a minimum memory footprint. The microcontroller family has been used in automotive applications including communication gateways, body control modules and climate control systems.
The CYT6BJ series is the latest addition to the family and extends the line-up to 16Mbyte of embedded flash memory with quad core Arm Cortex-M7. The MCU fulfills the requirements of the ISO26262 standard up to ASIL B. It is robust for demanding body electronics applications, extending the TRAVEO T2G Body microcontroller family to cover mid to low-end zone controllers for new electronic / electrical (E/E) architectures.
By supporting all available TRAVEO T2G devices, including CYT6BJ, the IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm ensures compatibility and provides developers with highly optimising building tools and advanced debugging capabilities, said the company. The development tool has features such as complex code and data breakpoints, runtime stack analysis, call stack visualisation, code coverage analysis and integrated monitoring of power consumption to contribute to a seamless development experience. The code analysis tools C-STAT and C-RUN allow developers to get complete code quality control, claimed IAR. For companies with requirements on functional safety, IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm is available in an edition certified by TÜV SÜD. The Fusa version is certified according to the requirements of ISO 26262. The toolchain is also certified for IEC 61508, IEC 62304, EN 50128, EN 50657, IEC 60730, ISO 13849, IEC 62061, IEC 61511 and ISO 25119.
For companies working with Continuous Integration (CI) workflows and automated build and test processes, the IAR Build Tools are also available in a version supporting Linux-based frameworks. Technical support, training, and flexible licensing are available to tailor the suite for specific needs.
