Pickering Interfaces exhibits multiplexer MEMS-based RF PXI/PXIe family
At next week’s European Microwave Week in Berlin, Pickering Interfaces will introduce MEMs-based RF multiplexers. at European Microwave Week 2023
The RF multiplexer family is suitable for wireless communications and semiconductor test and is powered by Ideal Switch from partner, Menlo Microsystems. Pickering said these are among the first MEMS components on the market with the performance characteristics to support demanding RF testing requirements. Pickering’s switching product manager, Steve Edwards, said: “The new MEMS-based RF multiplexers deliver vastly increased operational life (up to 300x), faster operating speed (up to 60x), and higher bandwidth (with no reduction in RF power handling) versus traditional EMR (electromechanical relay) alternatives. Insertion loss also remains comparable with EMR switches and much lower than solid-state.”
The MEMS-based RF multiplexers join Pickering’s 110GHz PXI/PXIe microwave switch, supporting 5G and semiconductor test, a new microwave switch design tool which is free of charge and is for configuring flexible PXI and LXI microwave switch products. There is a series of LXI microwave switches and turnkey services for LXI microwave switch and signal routing subsystems, including a custom 12×12 LXI microwave switching matrix demo.
Pickering Interfaces designs and manufactures modular signal switching and simulation for use in electronic test and verification. Its products are specified in test systems installed worldwide and the company has direct operations in the US, UK, Germany, Sweden, France, Czech Republic, and China, together with additional representation throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Markets served include automotive, aerospace and defence, energy, industrial, communications, medical, and semiconductor.
Visit Pickering Interfaces at European Microwave Week (EuMW) from 19 to 21 September at booth #605B, at the Messe Berlin Hub27, Berlin, Germany.
