Webinar about the Cyber Resilience Act: Requirements for selling electronic devices in the EU post-November 2027

The Cyber Resilience Act is a groundbreaking regulation aimed at improving the cybersecurity of digital products and services in the EU and therefore does not need to be transposed into national law. The regulation applies to all products with digital elements that are placed on the market in the EU. The regulation includes requirements for manufacturers, importers and distributors with the aim of designing and implementing their products to be secure and resilient against cyber threats from the outset. At the joint webinar hosted by Rutronik together with Infineon, 1A CUE and TÜV Süd on 12 June, participants can expect a compact and practical overview.

The Cyber Resilience Act is an EU regulation designed to ensure the cybersecurity of digital products and services in the EU. It introduces strict requirements for manufacturers and service providers around the world. Failure to comply could result in fines of up to 2.5% of global group turnover or €15 million, plus the costs of a sales ban and product recall. This should be a sufficient business argument to find out about the details in good time. For this reason, Rutronik is offering this free webinar in collaboration with Infineon, 1A CUE and TÜV Süd.

Stefan Würth from TÜV Süd will provide an overview of the certifications and penalties for non-compliance required under the Cyber Resilience Act.

Sergejs Rogovs, Chief Engineer Cyber Security at 1A CUE, will explain new legislation in European industry, including the Machinery Directive, Cybersecurity Directive IEC 62443, Cyber Resilience Act, Network and Information Security Directive (NIS-2), and ETSI/RED. He will cover how to conduct a risk analysis and identify who can assist in this process, as well as which products are affected and the support offered by security consultants.

Preeti Khemani, Senior Director at Infineon, will present how Infineon as a leading European semiconductor supplier, is supporting its customers to comply with the Cyber Resilience Act. She will highlight Infineon’s initiatives and resources available to help businesses improve their cybersecurity measures.

The webinar on June 12 will be offered at three different times: 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. in English and 1 p.m. in German. It is aimed at
