binder announces the Not Connected Closed (NCC) family
With the Not Connected Closed (NCC) family, binder offers a circular connector solution that reliably protects against dust, dirt and moisture even when unmated. The product range includes series 670 (subminiature) and 770 (miniature), including dedicated versions for medical applications. Users benefit from robust connection technology that combines high levels of protection with ease of use.
What makes NCC connectors unique is that the contacts of the female panel mount connector are protected by an integrated, spring-loaded plastic cover. This cover automatically seals the interface as soon as the connector is unmated, effectively preventing the ingress of dirt, dust and liquids.
Series 670 achieves a degree of protection of IP54 when unmated and IP67 when mated, while series 770 provides IP67 protection in both conditions. This makes the connectors ideal for applications that require frequent mating and unmating without compromising interface protection.
The NCC connectors feature a bayonet locking system that enables fast, secure and tool-free connection. With more than 1,000 mating cycles (series 670) and more than 5,000 mating cycles (series 770), the system ensures long-term reliable performance even under frequent use.
The female panel mount connectors of both series, 670 and 770, are equipped with an integrated sealing cap. It’s precisely designed spring mechanism ensures consistent return movement and reliable long-term sealing performance.
