A dozen inductors are added to Bourns high current series

A total of 12 high current shielded power inductors have been added to the portfolio available from Bourns. They provide high saturation/high heating current, low buzz noise and low magnetic field radiation, said the company.

The Bourns Model SRP1038CC, SRP1245CC, SRP1265CC, SRP1770CC, SRP2313CC, SRP3012CC, SRP3020CC, SRP4012CC, SRP4020CC, SRP5020CC, SRP5030CC and SRP7028CC Series power inductors are manufactured using either a carbonyl powder core or a metal alloy powder core. All have shielded construction to provide high saturation and high heating current, low buzz noise and low magnetic field radiation, Bourns confirmed.

The shielded power inductor series are designed to meet high current density and increased inductor reliability requirements. They have an extended operating temperature range of -40 to +125 degrees C and multiple footprints. Target applications are as power chokes in DC/DC converters and power supplies in consumer, industrial and telecomms applications.

All 12 of the new high current shielded power inductor series are available now and are RoHS-compliant and halogen-free.

Bourns manufactures and supplies position and speed sensors, circuit protection solutions, magnetic components, microelectronic modules, panel controls and resistive products. The company is headquartered in Riverside, California, USA, and serves a broad range of markets, including automotive, industrial, consumer, communications, medical (low/medium risk) and audio.
