Anti-vandal switches in TH series have capacitive touch
Available from Omni Pro Electronics, the pushbutton switches are manufactured by CIT Relay & Switch. They are available with multiple mounting options, four sizes and three voltage ranges.
Sizes available are 16, 19, 22 or 25mm and the capacitive touch pushbutton switches are available with 30 second hold, momentary switch or latching switch mounting options.
The touch-controlled capacitive switch measures change in capacitance when it is depressed. When touched, the electrical charge disrupts the switch’s own electrical charge, causing a change in capacitance. The TH Series is suitable for use in vending machines, gated community guard houses, traffic controls, industrial controls, appliances and infotainment centres.
CIT’s TH series capacitive touch switch is available with a flush illuminated actuator with two ring size options, each with a brushed stainless steel finish. The actuator is made of stainless steel with a polycarbonate (PC) LED lens. The 16mm and 19mm versions are available with a thick illuminated ring, the 25mm is available with a thick illuminated ring and the 22mm is available in both styles. Most come with a standard bezel, the 16mm comes in a 4.5mm high bezel.
LED colour and state options include single or dual LED with LED voltage choices of 5.0, 12 or 24V DC and maximum current of 15mA. Single LED colours include red, orange, green, blue and white available in off / colour and colour / off states. The dual LED colours are red-green, red-blue, blue-green and white-orange (or vice versa combinations). Dielectric strength is 250Vrms minimum between contacts with an insulation resistance of more than 10 MOhm minimum at 600V DC and an operating temperature of -40 to +85 degrees C.
The TH switches are sealed to IP68. They integrate the standard UL1430 22AWG wire length is 300mm and custom lengths are available upon request
