Arm, Corellium Partner to Accelerate IoT Device Development and Testing

Corellium has announced Arm licensed its virtualisation technology and integrated it with the Arm Virtual Hardware (AVH) platform to accelerate development and test of IoT devices using high-speed virtual hardware.

“We are committed to simplifying IoT development and enabling software and hardware co-design, states Mohamed Awad, vice president, IoT and Embedded at Arm. “Through our partnership with Corellium, we have been able to rapidly expand Arm Virtual Hardware, an entirely new way for software developers to innovate and accelerate product design for diverse IoT devices, all in the cloud.”

The partnership leverages Corellium’s Arm hypervisor-based virtualisation technology to enable hardware/software co-design for developers to verify and validate embedded and IoT applications.

“A primary objective of our Series A investment was to accelerate our initiative to transform IoT development, the way we have done with mobile,” remarks Amanda Gorton, CEO of Corellium. “Our partnership with Arm represents an enormous step in that initiative as Arm powers the vast majority of IoT devices in use every day. Our team couldn’t be happier in achieving this critical milestone.”
