Avnet Abacus sings distribution agreement with Mornsun

Power products by Mornsun are now available via Avnet Abacus, following the signing of a supplier agreement. 

The Chinese manufacturer has applied for more than 1,600 patents and introduced more than 6,000 products in its 20 year history. The portfolio ranges from AC/DC switching power supplies, DC/DC converters, transceivers, signal-conditioning modules, and DC/DC converters for IGBT and LED drivers, as well as developing products based upon the latest SiC and GaN technologies. 

Founded in 1998, the manufacturer designs semiconductors and structures for its transformers and product housings and its products are used in the established sectors of industrial, medical, and telecomms as well as emerging markets, such as EV charging, photovoltaic and smart homes.

Tiger Li, director of overseas sales at Mornsun Power China, enthused: “Building upon Avnet Abacus´s strong presence in Europe and highly professional sales and engineering teams, we will work together to provide an excellent service for our customers.”

Rolf Aschhoff, general manager at Mornsun Power, Germany, added: “This agreement provides us with a significant opportunity to accelerate the sales of our products in the EMEA region.”

Hagen Götze, senior director marketing at Avnet Abacus welcomed the new relationship, describing Mornsun as “one of today’s most innovative manufacturers of power supplies” and “spending a significant percentage of its revenues on R&D”.
