Avnet Silica expands EW 2026 presence with dedicated Avnet Silica-Microsoft collaboration stand
Avnet Silica will highlight software-led system design as an architectural driver in modern industrial applications through an expanded Avnet Silica-Microsoft presence at embedded world, taking place in Nuremberg, Germany, between 10-12 March, 2026.
Located directly adjacent to the main Avnet Silica booth (Hall 3A, Booth 111), the dedicated Avnet Silica-Microsoft stand explores how software choices shape industrial systems, influencing hardware architecture, scalability, security, compliance, and long-term platform viability. The dedicated stand focuses on end-to-end system design, demonstrating how hardware, software, support, and services come together in real industrial use cases. Key areas visitors can find on-site include:
● AI and AI at the Edge: Live local inference running under Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 across x86 and ARM-based industrial platforms, highlighting how secure, offline Edge AI workloads can be deployed without dedicated AI hardware.
● Cloud-to-Edge system design: How industrial systems connect, scale, and are managed across distributed environments.
● Next-generation industrial compute platforms: Modern CPU and compute choices that balance performance, power efficiency, ecosystem maturity, and lifecycle support.
● Software platforms and services: Industrial-grade operating systems, including Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 and GNU/Linux, supported by Avnet Silica’s Software & Services EMEA team and aligned with regulatory requirements such as the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).
The stand also features a vision enablement framework supporting rapid evaluation of more than 30 image sensors across these platforms, enabling high-performance prototyping from concept through to production. These demonstrations will provide attendees with the opportunity to explore how Microsoft technologies support scalable, secure, and compliant industrial system design.
