Profinet Cables
To expand its industrial Ethernet portfolio, Harting has introduced a range of four-pair Profinet cables. They offer real-time transmission, robust cabling technology and high reliability, by virtue of Profinet, and also boost data rates 100Mbit/s up to 10Gbit/s to allow for future developments in network infrastructure.
There are two versions: Type A is for fixed installation and type B is for flexible installation. While the cable for fixed installation requires only inner wire conductors, mobility is ensured by the use of tinned stranded wires. In line with Profinet guidelines, the outer sheath in the PIMF versions is made of green PVC.
The four-pair Ethernet cables meet the criteria for EMC separation class D as specified in EN 50174-2, and are designed to withstand large, lateral crush loads in harsh, industrial environments. They are also flame-resistant and UV-resistant.
The cables are designed for use with the company’s connectors as well as RJ45 connectors from the RJ Industrial product family in IP 20 applications, or with its Han 3A housings for IP 65/IP 67 applications.
