Capacitor series is designed for extreme operating conditions
The WCAP-FTXH capacitor series by Würth Elektronik are interference suppression capacitors for mains filters operating in extreme conditions.
All capacitors in the WCAP-FTXH THB X2 series ENEC 10, cULus, and CQC- certified and belong to the X2 safety class capacitors according to IEC 60384-14.
They are also designed for 310V rated voltages and have resistance to heat and moisture, passing a 1,000-hour test at 85 degrees C and 85 per cent relative humidity with the rated voltage applied. The operating temperature range extends from -40 to +110 degrees C.
The WCAP-FTXH family of capacitors has self-healing properties thanks to its polypropylene dielectric, said Würth. If a short circuit occurs in the component, it leads to the elimination of its own cause by vaporising the defect, restoring an intact dielectric.
There are 21 variants of the film capacitors with capacitance values (from 33 nF to 10 microF), voltage ramp-up rates, and insulation resistances. The components have different sizes depending on their values, and a pin pitch from 15 to 37.5mm.
The WCAP-FTXH series safety capacitors are now available from stock without a minimum order quantity.
