Circular connectors and accessories meet MIL-DTL-26482
Bayonet coupling connectors from Weald Electronics make up the LMH range. They are designed specifically to meet the requirements of MIL-DTL-26482 Series 1 and Patt 105. The connectors are manufactured to IECQ-CECC spec BS/CECC 75201-003 and BS 9522 F0017. They are suitable for a variety of military and demanding industrial applications including communications and test and measurement.
The versatile Weald LMH range of multi-pin circular connectors is available from Lane Electronics. They can be supplied in nine shell sizes and 25 shell styles and standard connectors can be supplied with two to 61 contacts.
LMH connector shells are manufactured from aluminium alloy. They feature a high resistance to corrosion, says Lane Electronics and, as standard, they feature a high resistance to corrosion due to an olive drab chromate conversion over a zinc cobalt, RoHS-compliant plating finish. Other finishes available include cadmium, black zinc nickel and electroless nickel.
The Weald Electronics’ manufacturing process bonds the solder contacts during assembly. This provides a through-connector seal even when unmated and each connector is leak-tested at 1 bar during final assembly.
Weald Electronics supports the LMH range of standard circular connectors with a selection of accessories including panel sealing gaskets, back shells and protective caps manufactured to the same demanding standards, says Lane Electronics.
The company also manufactures connectors designed specifically for power applications and versions that incorporate EMI suppression filters which reduce assembly time by eliminating the need for external filter components. Another version comes with PCB contacts which allows LMH connectors to be mounted directly on to PCBs.
LMH power connectors are available in four shell sizes and a selection of styles with between two to five contacts in six contact arrangements. The connectors feature peak working voltages as high as 500V DC or AC and maximum current ratings at 85 degrees C range from 7.5A for size 20 to 45A for size 8 with 13A for size 16 and 23A for size 12.
The LMHF (for filter) connector system is designed for applications which need EMI suppression. As standard, the LHMF version is supplied with filter capacitance values from 0.75 to 20nF. These are offered in fixed square flange or single hole mounting shell styles with PCB contacts designed for quick and easy assembly. Additional capacitance values and bespoke filtering configurations can also be provided.
Standard LMH and LMHF connectors are generally available from stock on a next day delivery basis with no minimum quantity or value requirement.
The connectors are made in the UK by Weald which is able to assemble LMH connectors to a customer’s exact specification on short lead times.
Lane Electronics is the sole source for Weald Electronics connectors and accessories.
