Cliff Electronics ramps up production for versatile connectors
Right Angle Multi-Position (RAMP) XLR connectors have been added to the range of industry stand XLR connectors from Cliff Electronics. The connectors are distinguished by a slim design for compact panel mounting.
Key applications include audio, broadcast, control and instrumentation systems for studios, concert venues, public buildings, schools and offices as well as laboratories and industrial installations.
The RAMP XLR connectors are manufactured in durable metal. The right angled cable mounted connectors are available in male with three, four or five poles and female three and five-pole versions. The slim design allows a number of connectors to be mounted in confined conditions such as compact control panels and wall boxes. The RAMP connectors are rated at up to 50V with current loads of 15A for three-pin, 10A for four-pin and 7.5A for five-pin versions.
The connector range can accommodate cable diameters from 3.5 to 8mm. Each connector is supplied with a black rear boot which provides strain relief. There are nine other colour options (white, grey, green, yellow, red, blue, brown and orange) which allow for panel coding and cable identification to save installation time.
The RAMP XLR right angle connectors can be mounted in the conventional position, i.e., facing down, or at eight other positions or angles to allow for easier, tangle free, cable drops on the same panel.
The positions and colours may be selected on site during commissioning to reduce part numbers, inventory and ordering MOQs. Coloured boot/strain reliefs are available in single colour packs or rainbow packs, which avoids wastage of unused colours.
