Compact snap-in capacitor series covers 450 to 475V DC

The Epcos B43657 aluminium electrolytic capacitors by TDK are designed with extremely high capacitance density and feature snap-in terminals.

They achieve a service life of at least 2000 hours at a maximum operating temperature of 105 degrees C and cover a rated voltage range from 450 to 475V DC with capacitance values from 120 to 1250 microF.

The also have a high ripple current capability of up to 8.54A (120Hz, 60 degrees C).

The RoHs-compatible capacitors are also high reliability, said TDK, for use in switched mode power supplies and power supplies for industrial and telecommunications applications. In addition, they are well-suited for uninterrupted power supply (UPS) systems, photovoltaic inverters and frequency converters.

The high capacitance yet compact capacitors are available in case sizes as small as 22 x 25mm up to 35 x 60mm.

Designers can also use the online AlCap tool to calculate lifetimes under application-specific conditions.

TDK was established in 1935 to commercialise ferrite, a key material in electronic and magnetic products. Its portfolio features passive components such as ceramic, aluminum electrolytic and film capacitors, as well as magnetics, high-frequency, and piezo and protection devices, as well as sensors and sensor systems such as temperature and pressure, magnetic, and MEMS sensors, together with power supplies and energy devices marketed under the product brands TDK, Epcos, InvenSense, Micronas, Tronics and TDK-Lambda. TDK focuses on demanding markets in automotive, industrial and consumer electronics, and information and communication technology. The company has a network of design and manufacturing locations and sales offices in Asia, Europe, and in North and South America.
