Display Technology adds Distec’s round displays to its listing
Distributor Display Technology has added Distec’s point of sales (PoS) round displays to its line-up. The new POS-I-Pro series offers a 3.4in round display with a powder coated frame, protective glass and PCAP touch.
There is a choice of four expansion configurations: a touch display module only; a touch display module with HDMI and USB cable; a touch display module with external Raspberry Pi system and a touch display module with integrated Raspberry Pi system. The Raspberry Pi options come in their own robust housing with passive cooling and can be installed separately from the display unit.
The round display has a resolution of 800 x 800 pixels and brightness of 350 cd/m². It comes with integrated protective glass to prevent scratches and a PCAP touchscreen that can be operated with up to 10 fingers. Operating temperature range is -20 to +70 degrees C.
With its IP65 standard of approval, this display is suitable for robust and demanding applications. The display, says the distributor, is easy to install with its mounting solution.
Established in 1996 as Display Solutions, the company was later acquired by the UK subsidiary of Fortec Elektronik AG, Display Technology, in September 2018. Display Technology offers innovative displays, touch screens and embedded computing with backup at every stage of the process, from initial consultation through to sample design, volume manufacturing and immediate-response after-sales support.
The company states that its position in the UK, across all embedded computing market sectors, including industrial instrumentation and control, transportation, retail/point-of-sale, outdoor signage, medical, marine, audio and lighting control and energy management, has been achieved through a combination of application experience and innovation.
