EBV Elektronik offers Renesas microcontrollers and SoCs
Distributor EBV Elektronik, an Avnet company is adding the complete product range of Renesas Electronics to its portfolio. This will enable EBV to offer Renesas’ broad range of microcontrollers as well as analogue and power products and SoCs.
The addition of Renesas to EBV’s linecard follows the company’s recent acquisition of EBV supplier Integrated Device Technology (IDT), a leader of RF, high-performance timing, memory interface, real-time and optical interconnects as well as wireless power and sensor solutions, to offer a portfolio of products for automotive, industrial IoT, and infrastructure applications.
Speaking about the Renesas product range, Slobodan Puljarevic, president EBV Elektronik, said: “We welcome Renesas to our linecard as it provides even more comprehensive solutions for our customers. This year EBV celebrates its 50th anniversary. It was founded in 1969 and is a specialist in European semiconductor distribution. EBV employs 240 technical sales specialists provide a strong focus on a selected group of long-term manufacturing partners. There are also 120 continuously trained application specialists to offer extensive application know-how and design expertise.
The EBVchips Program helps EBV and its customers define and develop new semiconductor products. Targeted customers in selected growth markets will be supported by the vertical sales segments. Warehouse operations, complete logistics solutions and value-added services such as programming, taping and reeling and laser marking are fulfilled by Avnet Logistics, Europe’s largest service centre.
