EMI Solutions opens China sales office and warehouse in Shanghai
EMI Solutions (EMIS), a global supplier of electromagnetic interference (EMI) components and filters, has opened a new sales office and warehouse in Shanghai, China, strengthening its support for customers in the industrial, defence and medical electronics markets.
Located in Shanghai’s Songjiang District, the facility provides local sales support, product availability and technical expertise for product designers, electronics manufacturers and contract electronics manufacturers operating in China.
An experienced team with extensive expertise in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) will provide technical and commercial support. EMIS also plans to expand the operation, with additional design engineers expected to join over the next six to 12 months.
The Shanghai opening follows the establishment of EMIS’s European headquarters in Milan, Italy, and the launch of a logistics hub serving customers across Europe. Together, these investments extend the company’s international support and distribution capabilities.
The new Chinese operation is intended to support both local manufacturers and multinational original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) with operations across Europe and Asia. Local technical assistance and warehousing will help customers reduce product-development lead times and improve supply-chain responsiveness.
Custom-designed products account for more than 40% of EMIS turnover, according to the company. Close collaboration with customers is therefore an important part of its approach to developing EMI and EMC solutions for specific applications.
Alberto Gironi, Europe Sales Manager at EMIS, said: “We are delighted to establish EMIS’s presence in China. This is an important milestone, and we look forward to working closely with customers in the region by providing responsive local support, technical expertise and reliable fulfilment, backed by EMIS’s global capabilities.”
The company combines component supply with technical consultancy and pre-compliance testing to help customers address EMI challenges during product development. Its global supply operation serves eight industry segments, supported by continued investment in technology and engineering skills.
EMIS’s capabilities include:
EMC consultancy: An experienced team providing technical guidance on electromagnetic compatibility challenges.
Pre-compliance testing: A fully equipped laboratory to support early-stage EMC assessment.
Standard EMI components: More than 2,500 safety-certified standard part numbers manufactured at EMIS’s own facility.
Specialist components and protection: EMI filters, inlet filters, feedthrough components, power-quality solutions, military-grade filters and surge protection.
The new Shanghai office and warehouse adds a local point of contact for customers seeking these products and services in China.
