Facial recognition access station also checks body temperature
Contactless body temperature measurement and facial recognition can be performed by the access management station available from Review Display Systems (RDS). It offers a safe and efficient control for personnel checking into a work environment, says the company.
As employees return to work following the Covid-19 lockdown, the check station from RDS is ideal to ensure a protected working environment. The station has a safety body temperature measurement check, optional facial recognition (that also works with employees wearing face masks), and a kiosk version which comes with an optional hand sanitiser.
The station comprises an eight-inch display screen with body temperature measurement and integral face recognition system.
Human body temperature detection is supported through the infra red (IR) temperature sensor from a distance of one meter and has an automatic alarm for abnormal body temperature. Additionally, it supports ID card readers, fingerprint scanners, IC card readers and QR code readers.
It is equipped with a choice of Rockchip RK3288, RK3399 or Qualcomm MSM8953 high performance hardware platforms. It also includes an industrial-grade wide dynamic binocular camera and face biometric recognition technology including IR thermal imaging. It supports a 30,000 face database with a 1:1 comparison recognition rate over 99.7 per cent giving accurate face recognition, even when wearing a face mask, said RDS.
Aesthetically, they are industrial grade units that can be wall, desk or kiosk mounted in office receptions, rail, bus and airports as well as in factory and industrial environments – wherever access control is required.
They are also waterproof and dustproof.
