Farnell expands TE Connectivity products with latest connectors and filters
Distributor Farnell has increased its TE Connectivity and sensor device portfolio with the introduction of the latest products from the company. Farnell said the additions are intended to allow customers to accelerate the development of new applications for electric vehicles, power, aircraft, digital factories, smart homes, life-saving medical care, efficient utility networks and global communications infrastructure.
The latest TE Connectivity additions to the Farnell range include AMPMODU connectors, TE’s 2.0mm board-to-board receptacles that provide increased surface contact for signal transfer. They can be used in various mounting processes. The connector occupies 38 per cent less space on the PCB board compared with 2.54mm [0.1 inch] centreline models, said Farnell. They also have two-point electrical stability for reliable header and receptacle interconnection and multiple options for board-to-board stacking by headers and receptacles combination. Other features are ease of assembly with automated surface-mount and through-hole reflow manufacturing. The connectors are suitable for servo drives, industrial controls, material handling, instrumentation, test equipment and building automation.
Another addition is TE’s Corcom three-phase, high performance DIN rail EMI filters. These general purpose filters are designed for use in three-phase systems, with a neutral connection included. They provide standard attenuation performance to reduce EMI and noise in a power supply. They are available as chassis mounting, DIN-rail mount options and are suitable for industrial automation, HVAC and CNC machines.
The M12 PCB / panel connectors eight or 12-pin plug-in PCB connectors help to increase production efficiency and decrease installation costs where IP67 protection is required, claimed Farnell. They are suitable for higher signal and data transmission in harsh industrial environments and provide a compact design with high density connection.
They are IP67 sealed with dust-tightness and waterproof to at least one meter.
Applications include industrial automation, machinery, industrial ethernet and sensors.
There are also Dynamic series connectors ranging from signal level circuitry to power circuit connectivity in a ruggedised, industrialised package. They are characterised by a robust housing structure and crimp contact system, making them suitable for wire-to-board, wire-to-panel, and wire-to-wire applications in harsh industrial environments. The series includes the Dynamic Mini-Series low profile connectors for signal transmission on PCB, providing extra board space and Dynamic D8000 connectors which carry up to 100A per pin for wire-to-wire and 90A for wire-to-board. Rated voltage is 1,000V AC/DC and the connectors can withstand voltages of up to 3,000V AC. There is also the Dynamic D1000 small wire-to-wire connectors, suitable for narrow spaces in small industrial equipment and machinery applications.
The latest new products from TE Connectivity are now available in stock at Farnell in EMEA, Newark in North America and element14 in APAC.
