Farnell – Littelfuse partnership creates a ‘one-stop-shop’
A partnership between distributor Farnell and power semiconductor company, Littelfuse, means that the distributor is a one-stop-shop for project requirements, said the company.
Littelfuse’s products available from Farnell include fuses, circuit breakers, surge protectors, TVS diodes, thyristors, diodes, MOSFETs, IGBTs, gate drivers, power modules, switches and sensors.
Littelfuse circuit protection products contribute to the safeguarding of electrical systems and personnel, with products which protect against ESD (electrostatic discharge), power surges, short circuits, voltage spikes, arc flash and other harmful occurrences. It also has a portfolio of power semiconductor technologies, including silicon and wide band gap solutions in discrete and module packages. Other products are designed to sense proximity, flow, speed, temperature, and fluid level in complex electronic systems.
Products now available at Farnell include, the LF2181N high voltage, high speed gate driver capable of driving N-channel MOSFETs and IGBTs in a half bridge configuration. The process technology enables the LF2181N’s high side to switch to 600V in a bootstrap operation. Its logic inputs are compatible with standard TTL and CMOS levels (down to 3.3V) to interface with controlling devices. The driver outputs feature high pulse current buffers designed for minimum driver cross conduction. The gate driver is offered in SOIC(N)-8 package and operates over the extended temperature range of -40 to +125 degrees C.
There is also the USP10973 thermistor copper probe assembly, suitable for a wide range of temperature sensing applications. It has a tight tolerance, is moisture resistant, and has PVC insulated lead wires. The maximum operating temperature is 105 degrees C.
Another highlight is the DST series of ultra low VF Schottky barrier rectifiers designed to meet the general requirements of commercial and industry applications by providing high temperature, low leakage and lower VF products. It is suitable for high frequency switching mode power supply, free-wheeling diodes and polarity protection diodes.
Littelfuse’s product portfolio supports several sectors such as automotive, consumer, industrial, building solutions, medical devices, aerospace, and data centre and the cloud. Farnell’s Jose Lok, product category director, Semiconductors, said: “We are delighted to partner with Littelfuse. This collaboration will enable our customers to access their comprehensive range of solutions, simplifying the procurement process and accelerating their time to market.”
Littelfuse solutions are available to purchase from Farnell in EMEA, Newark in NA and element14 in APAC.
