Farnell offers latest Arduino Pro Portenta C33 SBC
The Arduino Pro Portena C33 system on module (SoM) is a cost-effective, high-performance streamlined module, said Farnell, which makes IoT automation accessible with industrial-grade quality and guaranteed security.
The Arduino Pro Portenta C33 SoM provides an accelerated route to IoT automation. It offers the performance of the Portenta family at a lower price point, made possible by optimisations and streamlined features for developing industrial, real-time applications, said Farnell.
The Portenta C33 features the Arm Cortex-M33 microcontroller from Renesas and supports MicroPython, as well as other high-level programming languages.
It also features onboard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity, for IoT gateways, remote control systems, fleet management and process tracking, while its secure element guarantees industrial-grade security at the hardware level. The Portenta C33 can also perform over-the-air firmware updates via Arduino Cloud or other third-party cloud hosting services.
The Portenta C33 offers users quick plug-and-play IoT prototyping and a cost-effective solution for industrial-scale projects such as industrial IoT gateways, machine monitoring to track OEE/OPE (overall equipment efficiency/overall production efficiency), inline quality control and assurance, energy consumption monitoring and control systems for appliances.
The Portenta C33 leverages ready-to-use software libraries and Arduino sketches and can be used to monitor and display real time data on Arduino IoT Cloud widget-based dashboards. It is compatible with the Arduino Portenta and MKR families.
Arduino is an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software. A worldwide community of makers – students, hobbyists, artists, programmers, and professionals – has gathered around this open-source platform.
The new Portenta C33 from Arduino Pro is now available from Farnell in EMEA, Newark in North America and element14 in APAC.
