Four-channel TVS array protects computers and TVs
Designer and developer, Alpha and Omega Semiconductor (AOS) introduces the AOZ8S212UD4, AOZ8S321UD4, and AOZ8S306BD4 transient voltage suppressors (TVS) for high-speed line protection. They are suitable for electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection for laptops, televisions and other electronic devices.
The low capacitance TVS series is optimised for high speed line protection including (but not limited to) USB, Thunderbolt, HDMI and PCI Express, with minimum capacitance to avoid the transmission error.
All three TVS are housed in a DFN 2.5 x 1.0mm and DFN 2.0 x 1.0mm leadless surface mount device (SMD). Its flow-through feature is also suitable for the route design of differential pairs on a PCB.
The company claims that the TVS have a better figure of merit on the clamping voltage times capacitance to reduce the ESD failure rate in electronic products.
The AOZ8S212UD4, AOZ8S321UD4, and AOZ8S306BD4 are immediately available in production quantities with a lead-time of 16 weeks.
